Contributions: an oral presentation entitled: “A deep insight into the primary aromatic amines formation in heat-treated food packaging materials” and three posters entitled: “Development of an anti-fog coating with sealing properties for food packaging applications”, “Gallic acid determination by using a novel electrochemical nano-sensor” and “The effect of the flame treatment on the surface properties of four common plastic films for food packaging applications”.

“6th Shelf Life International Meeting” (SLIM), New Brunswick (NJ), 11-13 June 2014. Contributions: two oral communication entitled “Examples of innovation solutions for packaging sustainability” and “Oxygen barrier nanostructured biohybrid Na+‐MMT/pullulan coatings with potential application in food packaging” and three posters entitled: “Properties of green bionanocomposite films prepared from microfibrillated cellulose (MFC) and pullulan”, “Transparent pullulan/graphene oxide nanocomposites with high oxygen barrier properties”, and “Oxaqua® performer: high oxygen barrier coatings for a new generation of plastic films”. In that occasion I served as a chairman within the ‘Packaging Innovations’ session.

“Frontiers in Water Biophysics”, Perugia (Italy), 23-26 September 2012. Contribution: two posters entitled “Wetting of biopolymer coatings: contact angle kinetics and image analysis investigation” and “A novel anti-fog pullulan coating for food packaging applications”

“2nd International Meeting on Material/Bioproduct interactions – MATBIM 2012”, Dijon (France) 22-25 April 2012. Contribution: oral communication entitled “Self-assembled pullulan/silica oxygen barrier hybrid coatings for food packaging applications” and two posters entitled “Investigation of the wetting phenomena involved at the water/biopolymer coatings interface” and “Dye release behavior from polyvinyl alcohol films in a hydro-alcoholic medium: influence of physicochemical heterogeneity”. In that occasion I served as a chairman within the session ‘Analyticals for measuring transfers/interactions and their predictions’. I also took care of presenting the ‘Conclusions and prospects’ closure of the conference.
